Schmelzer – Weissburgunder unfiltriert 2018

16,90

The unfiltered Weissburgunder from Georg Schmelzer has been through a so-called malolactic fermentation: where the acids in the fresh grape must turn into lactic acid. This process gives this cloudy natural wine a creamy, almost buttery flavor. Its fresh scent reminds us of ripe peaches. The wine aged in barrels therefore you get nice vanilla notes. The beautiful dark color is due to the longer skin maceration, a hint of tannins can be detected too!
