Vito and his father Peppino are the 2 minds behind Petracavallo winery.
There is a long history of this farm that dates back to the 1800, you could lose yourself while listening to the story, perhaps they ought to write a book about it. Anyway, today the family is producing natural, handcrafted wines without the use of pesticides, artificial yeast, additives or invasive methods.
The wines are a surprise to your tasting buds, nothing is like it seems or like you expect it to be! The fun line (recognisable by the cool labels designed by the
artist Luigi Notarnicola) is meant to be shared and enjoyed with friends, the ‘serious’ line represents the single vineyards: Primitivo, Negramaro, Bianco d’Alessano and Verdeca. Expect some lovely tannins and lots of aromas in these wines!
