The 2017 Sodalis Riesling from Michael Gindl is not a typical Riesling. It has a slight oxidative notes as well as a complex style. Flowery aromas like orange blossom and elderflower which end in a creamy, long finish. A wine to enjoy with a mate or two like the name suggests: Sodalis means comrade in latin.
The 2020 is rather elegant and mineral, a hint of petrol and salty notes in there. Lime, green apple and apricot and lots of layers . A wonderful complex character, perfect for all Riesling lovers!
