The Philosophy: VitiForest and Living Soils

The estate’s approach goes far beyond standard organic farming. While the vineyards have been Ecocert and Demeter certified since 2013, David Koeberle’s vision is centered on the concept of VitiForest. By planting 280 trees per hectare—including perennials, fruit trees, and hedges—the estate has created a true plant symbiosis.

The goal is a self-renewing ecosystem where the soil is never ploughed. Instead, the rows remain grassed and mulched, preserving the microbiological life of the earth and allowing the vines to thrive in a vibrant, living environment.

A Creative Extension of the Terroir

The estate’s dedication to storytelling is also reflected in the presentation of each cuvée. Rather than traditional labeling, David Koeberle collaborates with Strasbourg-based tattoo artist Jubsyking to create visuals that capture the unique history and spirit of each wine. These designs are a creative extension of the wine's personality, serving as a modern tribute to the vibrant, unconventional energy found within every bottle.
