Aged in small oak barrels
The unfiltered Weissburgunder from Georg Schmelzer has been through a so-called malolactic fermentation: where the acids in the fresh grape must turn into lactic acid. This process gives this cloudy natural wine a creamy, almost buttery flavour. The wine aged in barrels therefore you get lovely vanilla and caramel notes. There is some fruitiness in there too, peach mainly.
